Check out Sam  as a potential herd sire! He was born very early Monday morning the 8th of June.  He measured 22" tall at just a few hours old and should remain small based on his parents height.  He also has  great conformation again  like both his dam and sire.  He is a dark gray and white spot with mostly black ears and a white tip on the end of his tail. During the summer he shed to a very dark gray on his neck and we've discovered he is a NLP (no light points) because he has dark hair partially around his lips. He also has tyger spotting on his left hip. Check out the  pictures of his sire and dam on our herd page (Dogwood Hill's Smokin' Bandit 31 1/2" and Spirit Hill Sundae Surprize 32 1/2") to get an idea of how well this little fellow will turn out as far as potential herd sire material.  He has been weaned and is ready for his new home.

                                                      Spirit Hill Ebony

Ebie is a sweet donkey and a great mama. She had her first baby the fall of 2008.  A little dark brown jack that was very well built.  She is 35 1/4" tall, registered as a  very dark brown with visible, wide cross, and 5-years-old.  Just check out her ears! Her sire was a 32" tricolor.  Her dam was a 36" black and white spot. She is very well built as you can see.  She has been pastured with our herd sire since March 2009 so we will be selling her as exposed.

                                                                                            Little Creek's Bonnie

Bonnie is a very friendly donkey and great mama. She is 34 1/2", thirteen-years-old and has nice conformation. She is registered a brown/gray-dun with a blaze (MSF) which means she is genetically spotted and can throw spotted babies. She's had two babies for us. One beautiful spotted jennet that we are keeping for a future brood jennet and one blaze faced jack. She has a very nice pedigree with red, frosted spotted white, white, brown, and grays in her background. We did not want to breed her back for a fall baby next year so she is open and ready for you to breed to your jack.

                                                      Spirit Hill Sweetie Pie

Finally, it's a girl and is she ever a nice one!  Sweetie was born June 23rd and measured 20 1/2" tall. Her coloring as you can see is a gorgeous dark brown with a big speckled blaze.  She also has a large much darker spot on her right side. She, too, is built very well.  See pictures of her sire and dam on our herd page (Dogwood Hill's Smokin' Bandit 31 1/2 " and Spirit Hill Sweet Pea 30") to get an idea of how well she may turn out.  She will be  weaned the week of October 23rd and will be sold with a breeders certificate.

Chloe loves attention and will push to the front of the herd to get it.  She is a sweet girl that is very drafty/stocky with excellent conformation.  She is  light brown/gray with leg garters, collar buttons, and anklets. She has had two spotted  foals (one jack and one jennet). She is 33 1/2", and 8 years-old with lots of years ahead of her.  She has been pastured with our herd sire since March 2009 so we will be selling her as exposed.

                           Spirit Hill Jokers Wild

Joker  was born Tuesday morning the 23rd of June.  He measured a mere 20" tall.   He is built great with his dam's small head.  He is a brown/roan and white spot with a brown medicine cap over his black tipped ears.  Like his sire, he does not show a cross in his brown coat. See his sire and dam on our herd page (Dogwood Hill's Smokin' Bandit 31 1/2" and Dogwood Hill's Queenie 31") He is definite herd sire material.  A 25% deposit will hold him until weaning mid October.

Gunner  was born Tuesday morning the 2nd of June.  He measured a tiny 19" tall and is one of our smallest so far. He seems to have great conformation like both his dam and sire.  He is brown/gray with mostly black ears and darker legs. His coloring is unique. He is not the gray that his mom is or the dark brown that his father is but somewhere in between. If he had any white on him he would be much higher in price and he is definitely herd sire material. His price will increase as he matures, especially if he stays a small as he appears to be.  He seems so tiny in the field compared to all our other donkeys. His cannon bone is a mere 5 - inches. You can see pictures of his sire and dam on our herd page (Dogwood Hill's Smokin' Bandit and Spirit Hill Tippy Toes) and then you'll understand why this will be one well built "little" fellow.  He is so friendly and we didn't have to imprint him, he came to us right away! A 25% deposit will hold him until weaning early in October.

Finally, the first baby has arrived!!!  Keeper  was born Friday morning the 15th of May.  We were out of town fishing and had a farm keeper watching our donkeys thus the name, "He's A Keeper."  He measured 22 1/2" at 2 1/2 days old.  We couldn't wait to see our new herd sire's babies and so far we are very pleased.  Keeper couldn't have better conformation with a nice rounded backend, straight legs, tooth on tooth and unique coloring.  He is gray with an unusual dark spot on his right hip (we have seen other foals from his grandsire with this same dark spotting), big speckled blaze, two hind socks, and red ears. Just check out his sire on our herd page and you'll understand why this little jack is so nice.  His dam is Little Creek's Bonnie which you will see on our herd page also and both dam and sire have some nice donkeys in their pedigrees with lots of color.  A 25% deposit will hold this little fellow until weaning the end of September and he will be sold with a breeder's certificate.

                                                        Spirit Hill Winnie

Spirit Hill Winnie  is spoiled  rotten and such a lover.  She measured 21" at one day old (born April 23, 2008).  She has an awesome set of papers with lots of original imports on the dam's side.  There are many different  colors on both sides too!  She looks to be maturing to a slate gray with a lot of  brown on her face. Sire is a 31 1/2" spot (MDHR Carrousel Ivers - see him at the bottom of our herd page)  and her dam is a 34" dark brown (Liar's Lake Pueblo - see her on our herd page).
